New Land

I cross the sea with broken chains
Step by step I’m further away from home
Though life tries to kill me
You’ll see how far I’ll come

The wind is picking up its rage
The water covers me in blankets,
but I can’t fall asleep now
I taste the bitterness of death
The oceans brutal song of wrath

How can I come back?
When I have given up
On myself
“No need to rush but
Don’t give up on yourself” she says

Is this world big enough
To carry all my thoughts
and my doubts?
Can I see for myself
I really want to go there

The waters drag me deep down
The time is working against me, but
